Internet shopping is fast becoming one of the easiest ways to buy almost anything you want. Internet shopping is a way of shopping that allows shopping for required products without going to the store physically. The Internet is great because people are able to shop 24 hours a day without having to leave their home or work.

The Internet is changing the wholesale/retail landscape daily. In today’s market the online auctions sector is taking about a tenth of all retail shopping sales in the US, and the percentage in other countries is not as high. One reason we use the internet is to buy merchandise at a discount to retail.

If you’ve ever wandered the halls of a hotel searching for an ice dispenser or snack machine, the most convenient employee to track down is a maid or housekeeper. They swarm the halls with carts of bedding and cleaning supplies, and can usually be spotted in professional-looking maid or housekeeping uniforms, complete with skirts and white tennis shoes.

However, on occasion, a hotel or motel’s employee policy doesn’t require their cleaning staff to dress in a uniform. Instead, they show up to work in street clothes, or whatever they happen to roll out of bed wearing that morning. This lack of business-like apparel not only sends an arbitrary message to the guests, but it also makes it difficult for them to track down an employee when information or accommodations are needed.

Doesn’t sound too professional, does it?

While a hotel décor may be fancy and well put together, if the employees appear unkempt or sloppy, the reputation of the establishment can easily go out the window. But an establishment that requires their staff to wear maid and housekeeping uniforms will project a clean and professional environment.

This is easiest accomplished if the management has pre-selected set of uniforms in tact for housekeeping employees, making sure that they are all identical, so that they can easily be distinguished by guests. It should also be mandatory that uniforms are laundered every night and kept ironed and wrinkle-free. Providing a few maid and housekeeping uniforms employees could lighten their load of constant upkeep.

Any accessories for the uniforms, such as aprons, belts, pins or scarves should be mandatory and worn in a systematic way. Although these extra items may be uncomfortable and cause complaints, if one employee is given leeway, others could follow with petty objections and disharmony.

Even in this modern age, most societies still delineate among social classes through clothing. Unlike the days of the Roman Empire when only high-ranking government officials could wear mauve, there are no longer laws dictating what kinds of clothing people can wear. Social delineation through clothing is more discreet though still prevalent. For example, because of the high prices of designer clothes and accessories, only the well to do can afford to wear them.

True Religion Jeans

Of course, clothing still shows very clearly what the occupation of a certain individual is. People working in the medical profession wear certain garb that set them apart from people working as firemen, police officers or soldiers, for example. Pastors, priests and other members of religious order also wear distinct uniforms, as do some students in formal schools.

The founder of Diesel was Renzo Rosso and he set out with the aim of making the brand a leader in men’s fashion. He surrounded himself with creative people and began by designing unique pieces of clothing that made the wearer stand out from the crowd. He gave his designers the freedom to create stylish t-shirts that would be popular across different cultures. Diesel was seen as rule breaker that didn’t stick to the predicted trends and soon developed its own style and loyal band of customers. It is for this reason that Diesel soon became a leader in developing mens and womens jeans styles, fabrics, manufacturing methods and quality control, guaranteeing the customer an outstanding quality product. In 1991 the brand began to expand outside its home country of Italy and worked on an international marketing strategy that saw the brand move into the UK and US market. The brand has been able to successively expand across continents thanks to its broad distribution platform. Although Diesel Jeans now outsources much of its tshirt production designer jeans production is still done exclusively in Italy. The brand has licensed the Diesel name to third parties for the production of footwear, watches, eyewear and other jewelry but t-shirts and jeans make up most of the fashion houses turnover. The brand generates over $350million in turnover every year 15% of which comes from Italy. It owns 200 of its own retail outlets and also sells to high quality boutiques and independent stores. Diesel has produced some controversial advertising campaigns with the most recent showing the slogan “global warming ready” which showed cities such as Paris and London after Global warming had taken place.
